$20,000 GIVEN TO ADVANCE SPORTS AND EDUCATION GOALS FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON

September 8, 2006

Bum Phillips, performing his first official duty as spokesperson for GLO CPAs, will announce the GLO CPAs Scholarship Fund special fall donation program at the Texas Legends and Leaders press conference on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Houston Club. Bob Casey, Assistant Dean at the C.T. Bauer College of Business will accept the check for $20,000 from Phillips on behalf of the college.

"I guess I'm known by a few people as a good ol' boy with a little football history, but I'm also proud of my degree in education from Stephen F. Austin," said Phillips, the most winning coach in Houston Oilers franchise history. "That's why I'm spokesman for GLO CPAs; because they value education and are making this great state better by rewarding outstanding academic achievement."

The GLO CPAs Scholarship Fund benefits students at the University of Houston's C.T. Bauer College of Business. The unique fall donation program will celebrate student leadership at the Bauer College by challenging its 22 student organizations to bring members, alumni and friends to Cougar football games this fall. The top three organizations will share $9,000 in scholarship donations, with the first place organization receiving a $5,000 contribution to their respective scholarship endowment. The total donation from GLO CPAs will be $20,000.

Following the check presentation, Phillips will be joined in a Q&A panel discussion with other Texas legends including sports, military and education leaders. The panel includes Bill Yeoman, former head football coach for the Houston Cougars, who led the team to victory for 25 seasons from 1962-86; General James Cross, Commander of Air Force One during Lyndon B. Johnson's presidency; Bill Sherrill, Chairman of the Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the C.T. Bauer College of Business; and Bob Casey.

A Western luncheon party, a "dressed up" edition of the firm's monthly speaker series that supports the scholarship program, will take place at 11:30 a.m. This will include an art show, music and a continuation of the panel discussion focusing on the topic of leadership. About 300 members of the Houston business, arts, education and sports community are expected to attend.

"Education is the cornerstone to leadership," said W. Carl Glaw, Jr., founding partner of GLO CPAs and board member of the Bauer College. "Being a community partner with the UH college of business is one way we can foster leadership early-on. We're hosting Texas' living legends at this event to support our scholarship fund. I want GLO CPAs' legacy to be education, the cornerstone of leadership, and service to our community through professional and charitable service."

"I was first attracted to GLO, because of their bundled approach to accounting and financial planning services. The firm has done a lot for me - from tax returns to wills, to pension and estate planning. They are more than capable, and focused on complete customer service. Carl Glaw has tremendous ethics and a passion for giving back, which means a lot to me. It's very unusual to find an accountant that's as multi-talented as he is - no doubt, the best I've seen in my career."
