GLO CPAs, LLP Presents: A Survival Guide to SOX 404
How the Regulation Affects You Now

HOUSTON - Jan. 31, 2007 - GLO CPAs, LLP, a large Houston-based 25 year old leading certified public accounting firm is providing more than financial services for its clients and constituents by hosting seminars and networking sessions at The Houston Club. On February 20th, 2007, GLO will host a seminar focused on understanding and surviving Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (also known as the Public Company Accounting Reform and Investor Protection Act of 2002); a United States federal law passed in response to a number of major corporate and accounting scandals, originally promulgated in 2002.

GLO CPAs will advise on and embrace many SOX 404 regulation topics, including; the basic requirements for management under section 404, the cost of implementation, accelerated filers - compliant as of 2004, the final deadline and required management and auditor assessments and reports for internal controls with non-accelerated filers, new PCAOB guidance for auditors, changes from AS2, new effective dates and reasons for postponing them, new SEC proposals including new guidance for management assessments, and proposed changes to rules and regulations.

Commissioner Campos stated on December 13, 2006; ". the benefits gained from improved internal controls are significant ones that we absolutely cannot afford to lose. There was never any disagreement with the principles behind Section 404; rather, all of the problems derived from its difficult implementation."

GLO aspires to take filers' frustration away from understanding the SOX 404 regulation and reduce the anxiety surrounding the cost. Implementation is recommended as early as possible.

"I was first attracted to GLO, because of their bundled approach to accounting and financial planning services. The firm has done a lot for me - from tax returns to wills, to pension and estate planning. They are more than capable, and focused on complete customer service. Carl Glaw has tremendous ethics and a passion for giving back, which means a lot to me. It's very unusual to find an accountant that's as multi-talented as he is - no doubt, the best I've seen in my career."
